Let's Chat: Defining Your Style
Something that has always been interesting to me is how we each create our own personal style – what we choose to wear and why, and how we define it. The way we dress and how we "classify" our style can say so much, don't you think? As a designer, I personally draw a lot of inspiration from a person's style when creating something for them. To me their style is a visual expression of who they are and how they want to be seen.
To me, personal style is always evolving. It's a compilation of where we've been, people we've met, what we've experienced, where we are now, and who we want to be. It's when we feel most like ourselves. You know that dress that you have that makes you feel totally "you"
or when your heart skips a beat when you find that pair of shoes that perfectly complements your wardrobe?
Preppy, glam, classic, feminine, bohemian, bold ... I'd love to know – If you had to define your style in 3 words, what would they be?
My answer: Classic (I live for classic pieces; things that I can look back on in 20 years and still find chic), Effortless (I like my style to be and feel effortless, and not overly fussy), Feminine (I love feminine silhouettes, even if it sometimes happens to be with a little tomboy twist).
